Big Changes to Gild: What You Need to Know

Hi Everyone,
We've made some major changes to Gild:

1. Additional Skills. We've expanded beyond programming skills into adjacent areas like marketing analytics, product development and business.
2. Quicker Question-and-Answer Format. Now, you can answer as many or as few questions as you'd like when you answer questions about your skills. Plus, you can see the correct answers as you respond to questions.
3. Code Snippets. These bite-sized coding puzzles let you write real code without having to take full-length Coding Puzzles. Code Snippets became available in a skill once you correctly answer three MCQs in a row.
4. Coding Puzzles Now Affect Your Skill Scores. When you submit code in a Coding Puzzle, the performance of your submission now affects the skill score of the language of your submission.
5. Changes to Your Skill Scores. Previously, your skill scores were based on your performance on multiple choice questions. Now, there are three factors that affect your skill scores: multiple choice questions, Code Snippets, and Coding Challenges. Because skill scores are now based on three factors, and not one, your scores will initially decrease, and you may see some of your Certifications go away. Rest assured, you can earn them back.

For more in-depth info on all these changes, read the full post that details all the changes to Gild.
